Digital refractometer for measuring the density of urine UG-α (alpha)


The new UG-alpha digital refractometer for measuring urine density is an improved version of the previous UG-1 model. The minimum scale display has been improved. The case color and display frame have also been updated. After dropping the sample onto the prism, press the START key and the measurement values will run on the screen. The density of urine depends on the concentration of dense constituents in it. Normally, the relative density of urine is 1.017-1.024. It is the higher the more dense constituents in the urine and the more intense its coloring. For example, in diabetes, the relative density of urine reaches 1.030-1.050 because of the sugar excreted in the urine. The relative density of urine can fluctuate widely over the course of a day (from 1.005 to 1.030) depending on the amount of fluid you drink, indicating good kidney adaptability. The relative density of urine is measured with a UG-α refractometer.

The new Palette PR-BUTYRO series hand-held refractometer is designed to test the fat fraction for detection of vegetable additives. The device is ideal for examination of butter, clarified butter and any other edible oil. The instrument has two built-in scales - Butyro and nD. The Palette series hand-held refractometers have high precision (±0.1%Brix) and built-in automatic temperature compensation. But the Palette series differs most from other digital handheld refractometers in that it offers up to 3 user-defined scales. What is it?

The user scale enables the user to set a coefficient so as to change a basic refractometer into an ethyl alcohol (or any other substance) meter, for instance. The custom scale is entered according to the formula: Substance concentration = %Brix x Factor.

The combination of upper range, high accuracy, small size, makes PR-301 alpha irreplaceable "helper" in production of various confectionery products (for example, syrups, marmalade, jelly, jam, honey, etc.), in dairy industry (condensed milk), and in the process of juice dilution and production (measuring various concentrates at the different stages of juice products).
