A PEN-URINE S.G. hand-held digital refractometer to measure the relative density of urine uses the refractive index method. The PEN series refractometers are very easy to use. There are two ways of carrying out the measurement: placing a prism in the sample and pressing the START button or pressing the START button and then placing the prism in the sample. The automatic temperature compensation feature helps you use the instrument under a variety of conditions, and the moisture protection allows you to remove samples from the prism surface extremely easily and quickly!

The PEN-Dried Fruit Moisture refractometer is designed to measure the moisture content of dried fruit and has a humidity range of 15 to 100%, which is calculated as (100-Brix)%. To get the result, simply cut the dried fruit in half and press the refractometer prism against the cut. The refractometer PEN-PRO has a measurement range of Brix 0.0 ... 85.0%, which is suitable for measuring almost any sample. With the PEN-PRO you can take measurements in two ways. Either dip the tip of the instrument into the sample and press the START key OR press the START key and touch the tip of the instrument to the sample. This is a new feature for continuous measurements. The temperature compensation range of the PEN-PRO refractometer is extended to 100 degrees (previously it was up to 60 degrees).
