Determination of waterproofing of concrete

Waterproofing is a very important characteristic of concrete. It is responsible for the ability of concrete not to pass water under pressure. According to this characteristic, concrete is divided into brands.

The installation is designed to determine the depth of water penetration into hardened concrete samples under pressure. Models for 3 and 6 samples are available. The system can test cubic samples 150×150×150 mm, 200×200×200 mm or cylindrical samples 150×300 mm. Sample pressure up to 12 bar with an accuracy of 0.2 bar is created by supplying compressed air to the built-in water tank and is controlled by a pressure regulator; with a manometer. Water penetration is measured using burettes supplied with the system. The system includes impermeable gaskets for each cell. The device must be equipped with a suitable air compressor with a maximum working pressure of 12 bar.
