Glass press DP-1

Designed for effective removal of excess washing solution (NaCl) during manual determination of the volume of raw gluten in wheat and wheat flour in accordance with DSTU ISO 21415-1:2006.

The use of "DP-1" allows you to eliminate the influence of subjective factors on the results of manual washing of gluten and ensure stable results during laboratory analysis of grain quality.

It consists of two glass plates with a rough surface. For ease of use, a special handle is provided for raising and lowering the upper glass plate. Reliable hinges allow you to open the press by 180 degrees. Fastening of the handle and hinges ensure a constant distance between the plates, in accordance with the requirements of the standard.

To remove the residual washing solution, the ball of gluten is divided in half, forming plates.

The resulting plates are placed under the press for 5 seconds. Then carefully transfer the gluten plates to another place of the press and close it again for 5 seconds. This operation is repeated 15 times.

After each operation, the glass plates of the press should be dried.
