D1000 portable homogenizer, designed for rapid homogenization, emulsification, suspension and breakdown of biological samples. Ideal for use with microtubes, the homogenizer works well with samples from 0.1 ml to 250 ml (depending on the generator probe used).

The D1000 is a rotor stator homogenizer and works by drawing the sample in liquid into the generator probe with a variable speed rotor and then pushing it out through grooves in the stator. This achieves a mechanical cutting of the sample. As the sample is repeatedly composed and pushed through the stator, additional pulverization occurs.

Most samples are completely homogenized in 30 seconds or less. A powerful 130-watt motor drives the rotor at speeds ranging from 8,500 to 30,000 rpm. Speed is adjustable in six steps to meet sample processing needs. A separate on/off switch lets you leave the homogenizer at the appropriate setting.

The generator probes are available in four sizes. The 5 mm and 7 mm probes are 50 mm long for use with microtube samples. The 10 mm x 115 mm probe is ideal for use with 15 and 50 ml tubes and the 14 mm x 130 mm probe for 50 ml tubes and vessels up to 250 ml. The unit comes with one of the 5mm and 7mm generator probes.

All generator probes are made of stainless steel and can be sterilized by autoclaving.
