Keto test (rapid urine acetone test)

Principle of the method: Sodium nitroprusside in an alkaline medium reacts with ketone bodies (acetone, acetoacetic acid and beta-oxybutyric acid), forming a complex colored from light violet to dark violet.

The result of the analysis is determined by a color scale.
