The MC-12 is the first and only compact microcentrifuge capable of reaching centrifugal speeds up to the critical threshold of 16,000 xg, often considered the standard for many molecular biology/DNA protocols. The brushless, maintenance-free drive system makes it powerful yet compact enough that each workstation is fully equipped with a personal centrifuge.

The MC-12 defines a new class of microcentrifuge: compact, fast, powerful and affordable. All aspects of microcentrifuge performance were considered and no compromises were made. In addition to its unrivaled speed, the MC-12 also provides reduced acceleration/deceleration times, quiet rotor operation, and its computerized airflow pattern minimizes sample temperature rise during longer runs at higher speeds.

All operating parameters are set with a single, conveniently located control knob, and a large, bright LCD display provides a clear indication of time and RPM or overload. A separate momentary spin button allows for instant spin down without setting or disturbing any preset parameters. Aviation-grade aluminum rotor accepts 1.5 to 2.0 mL microtubes directly, as well as 0.5 mL and 0.2 mL with optional adapters. For research requiring low ambient temperatures, the MC-12 is refrigerator safe.
