Suttard viscometer VS-1

It is designed to determine the viscosity of gypsum dough according to ДСТУ Б В.2.7-82-99 (ГОСТ 23789-79).

Viscometer consists of a hollow cylinder made of corrosion-resistant metal and a circular scale. The essence of the method is to measure the diameter of gypsum dough. At the beginning of the test, the cylinder is placed in the center of the scale and filled. Then the cylinder is quickly lifted and the diameter of the dissolved substance is measured after a certain period of time. If the diameter of the blob does not fall within the range of 180±5 mm, the test is repeated by adding or reducing the amount of water used in the preparation of the dough.
